Professor Reinhard Griebenow completed his basic medical education at the University of Göttingen, Germany. He qualified as a specialist in internal medicine and in cardiology at the University of Cologne. From 1988 to 2017, he served as Assistant Medical Director and Head of Training in the Department of Cardiology, Angiology and Diabetology at the Municipal Hospital Cologne-Merheim, University of Cologne. Since 2017, he has been practicing at Praxis Rheingalerie in Cologne. He has also held a professorship in internal medicine and cardiology at the Medical Faculty of the University of Cologne since 1993.

Professor Griebenow has taken on numerous leadership and advisory roles throughout his career. Since 2010, he has been Chairman of the Board of ECSF, and from 2011 to 2017 he chaired the EBAC Advisory Committee. Between 2000 and 2020, he led the Academy for Training and Education of the Chamber of Physicians North-Rhine in Düsseldorf, serving simultaneously as a board member from 2005 to 2019. He was a member of the Standing Committee for CME of the German Medical Association in Berlin from 2011 to 2019, and between 2011 and 2015 contributed to the Expert Committee of the Institute for Medical and Pharmaceutical Exam Questions in Mainz. In 2017, he was elected President of the UEMS Cardiology Section. Until 2023, he was also an active member of the Working Group on Training and CME Politics of the Marburger Bund in Berlin.

He continues to be deeply engaged in advancing medical education, currently serving on the Education Committee of the German Cardiac Society and as a member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of CME (JCME). In addition, he is a member of the German Society of Internal Medicine, the German Cardiac Society, the European Society of Cardiology, and the Federal Association of Internists in Germany.

Debbie Brucki is the manager of governance and external relations at the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education in the United States of America and has been with the ACCME for over 20 years. She works with the ACCME’s Board of Directors, as well as the Board’s committees and task forces, and in the last ten years has been part of ACCME’s international efforts, which includes its participation in and support of the International Academy for Continuing Professional Development Accreditation.

Debbie earned her Master of Arts from DePaul University in Chicago and her Certified Association Executive credential from the American Society of Association Executives.

In January 2023, Dr Geneviève Moineau was elected Vice-President of the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME) where she works to enhance the quality of medical education worldwide. She has led the development of the postgraduate medical education and continuing professional development recognition programmes, as well as the creation of the WFME declaration on the role of academic institutions in supporting learners and the 2025 WFME World Conference in Bangkok, Thailand.

Dr Moineau was appointed as Chief Medical Workforce Advisor for the Government of Canada’s Ministry of Health (Health Canada), in August 2023, in support of the efforts to address the health workforce crisis.

On June 30, 2023, Dr. Moineau completed a 10-year term as President and CEO of the Association of Faculties of Medicine of Canada (AFMC), representing all of the country’s faculties of medicine. Previously she was vice-president of medical education, and she led two accreditation agencies as Secretary to the Committee on Accreditation of Canadian Medical Schools (CACMS) and the Committee on Accreditation for Continuing Medical Education (CACME).

In 2023 she was the recipient of the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) Special Recognition Award for her longstanding commitment to academic medicine as evidenced by exemplary collaboration with AAMC to advance excellence in medical education and outcome-based accreditation.

She is also the 2024 recipient of the Canadian Medical Association Léo Paul Landry Medal of Service Award for her exceptional contribution to the advancement of health care education. The University of Ottawa has also bestowed upon her their 2024 Lifetime Achievement Award for her impact on positive change in medical education in Canada and around the world.

Dr Moineau is an MD graduate of the University of Ottawa and completed her Pediatric Residency at the University of Toronto’s Hospital for Sick Children. She is a full Professor in the Departments of Pediatrics and Emergency Medicine at the University of Ottawa and has privileges in Pediatric Emergency Medicine at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario.

She is a proud mother of 3 and grandmother of 6. She enjoys spending time discovering natural beauty all around the globe, developing her skills as a wildlife photographer and most of all spending time with her family, who bring her great joy.

Jana Cohlová joined WFME in 2021. Her role is in the management of the WFME Recognition Programme, and also includes support for the Risk Committee and the WFME office. She sometimes joins the WFME Recognition Teams.

She studied at the University of Economics, Prague, Czech Republic, majoring in International Trade. Before joining WFME, she worked for the Social Health Institute, Palacký University Olomouc, as a project associate. She has also been running her own freelance translation and interpreting business for almost 20 years.

She is based in the Czech Republic.
