Brian A. Kessler, DO, FACOFP, serves as the Dean of the Campbell University Jerry M. Wallace School of Osteopathic Medicine in Buies Creek, North Carolina. A Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine graduate, Dr. Kessler is a board-certified family physician and tenured professor who appreciates academia, global health policy, health systems science, and executive leadership. After graduating from medical school, he completed an internship at Crozer-Delaware County Memorial Hospital in Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania, and then entered an Osteopathic Family Medicine Residency at Cleveland Clinic South Pointe Hospital. Subsequently, he practiced family medicine with the Cleveland Clinic and the University Hospitals in Cleveland, Ohio.
As the medical school Dean, Dr. Kessler oversees the school’s academic, administrative, graduate, and clinical activities. Dr. Kessler is an American Osteopathic Association Health Policy Fellow and a Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians. Through his affiliation with the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians, Dr. Kessler serves as a Governor and on the executive board as the Secretary-Treasurer. In addition, he serves as a board member for the National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners, a commissioner for the AOA Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation, and a North Carolina Osteopathic Medical Association trustee.
