Caline Mattar is a physician by training and serves as the Chair of the Junior Doctors Network of the World Medical Association (WMA). She has finished her medical school training at the American University of Beirut in Lebanon, prior to moving to the United States to complete an Internal Medicine Residency and subsequently a fellowship in Infectious Diseases at Washington University in St Louis. She continues to work in academia as assistant professor of medicine, and she has a particular interest in post-graduate medical education and the health workforce. She previously served as the Vice-President for Internal Affairs for the International Federation for Medical Students Associations (IFMSA).
