Teresa Cavett is Associate Professor of Family Medicine, University of Manitoba, Winnipeg, Canada. She is a Fellow of the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) and holds a Master of Education in Educational Administration, Foundations and Psychology (University of Manitoba). Her interests in medical education lie in learner assessment, program evaluation and accreditation, and faculty development.
She is a co-author of the CFPC’s Fundamental Teaching Activities Framework (2015) which articulates the essential teaching skills for medical educators in a framework for faculty development. She is the inaugural chair of the Examination Oversight Committee, Medical Council of Canada (2021). Since 2011, she has regularly contributed to the accreditation of Canadian residency programs through Canadian Residency Accreditation Consortium as a member of CFPC assessment teams.
