Xhorxhi Kaçi is a senior medical student of the University of Milan. Born and raised in Albania, he initially moved to Italy and later to Madrid, Spain to complete his medical studies. He has been very active on international mobility programs, advocating for the unification of international curricula, and is a strong defender of basic healthcare coverage as a fundamental right that ought to be extended to all people. As a complement to this passion, he was selected by the WFME through his affiliation with the International Federation of Medical Students’ Association. Xhorxhi’s other areas of interest include public speaking (with emphasis on divulgating science to the general public), clinical research, and European and public health policies. He plans on pursuing a master’s degree in public health after graduation, along with a residency program. His goal is to make people’s lives better by getting them to understand and apply scientific research results on a daily basis.
