WHO network meeting of medical education experts in Turkmenistan

September 19, 2011

Stefan Lindgren and David Gordon attended this network meeting on medical education, held in Turkmenistan. The meeting was organised by the WHO Regional Office for Europe and chaired by Professor Galina Perfilieva of WHO Europe.

Almost all former Soviet countries were represented. Presentations covered global, and Europe-wide, developments in medical education and all the current activities of WFME, as well as consideration of current issues in all the states represented at the meeting.

On the following day, WFME and participants from the network meeting took part in an International Conference on Medical Education organized by the Turkmen State Medical University.
