WFME Standards for Master’s now in Japanese
WFME Standards for Master’s Degrees in Medical and Health Professions Education are now available in Japanese, thanks to the initiative of the Medical Education Center at Kyoto University.
WFME welcomes the WMA call for development of quality assurance programmes
The World Federation for Medical Education welcomes the Declaration of Chicago, which was adopted in October at the WMA General Assembly. The Declaration calls for the development of national and regional quality assurance systems to ensure high standard of medical education and overcome the many threats to the quality of basic medical education.

New website and logo
The World Federation for Medical Education (WFME) is pleased to announce the launch of its new website and updated logo. We record our thanks to THS for the design of both.
The new website offers increased functionality, such as the publication search and the map of accrediting agencies. It also designed to guide website visitors to the right pages more quickly.
Japan Accreditation Council for Medical Education (JACME) awarded Recognition Status
The Japan Accreditation Council for Medical Education (JACME) is the seventh accrediting agency to be awarded Recognition Status by the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME). WFME is satisfied that the accreditation process, post-accreditation monitoring and decision-making by JACME when it accredits medical schools and faculties is to an appropriate and rigorous standard.
