The World Federation for Medical Education supports the Red Cross in its effort against misinformation

April 6, 2022

WFME, as a member of the Health Care in Danger ICRC community of concern, supports the Red Cross to prevent and counter misinformation about its work in Ukraine.

The International Committee of the Red Cross responds to a huge misinformation campaign that is causing, amongst other negative effects, security concerns of their teams. The ICRC representatives once again have to emphasize that the Red Cross does not engage in politics. Their sole intention and purpose are to support the population affected by the conflict, no matter who and no matter where.

Read the article in which ICRC explains why the Red Cross must be neutral in the Ukraine conflict.
