With great sadness, we report that Dr Hans Karle passed away on 30 July 2024.  Dr Karle served as President of the World Federation for Medical Education from 1996 to 2008.

His tireless efforts and unwavering commitment to advancing global medical education have left an indelible mark on our community.

Our thoughts are with Dr Karle’s family, friends and colleagues during this difficult time.  May his memory continue to inspire excellence in medical education worldwide.
