In cooperation with the Arab Network for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ANQAHE), WFME presented the WFME Recognition of Accreditation programme to institutions from Arab countries in order to increase interest for the programme in the area.

The workshop provided an overview of the Recognition Programme establishment and its history as well as described specifics of the process. In addition to that, participants could get familiar with the Recognition programme from two other perspectives – Dr Sara Osman described the process from a WFME assessor point of view and two WFME Recognised agencies spoke about their past experience with the process, namely the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education (NAQAAE), Egypt and Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission for Higher Education Institutions (AQACHEI), Jordan.
